Last week we learned about Dental Health. We learned why it is important to brush our teeth twice a day and how to properly brush and floss. In math we started our subtraction unit. We also added money to our daily calendar. We are learning to identify each coin and what they are worth.
This week we learned about Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. We read several informational books and practiced recalling interesting facts about these two important Presidents.

Valentine’s Day Party
Thank you to all the parents who came to help celebrate Valentine’s Day. The kids had a great time playing games and decorating cookies. I appreciate all the generosity this year from the parents who donated supplies and time to our classroom parties. They have all been a great success. I also want to say a special Thank you to Mrs Reitsma and Mrs. Murphy for organizing the parties this year. The kids are very lucky to have such great supportive parents. Also thank you for all the wonderful Valentine cards and gifts. I feel very lucky to have such a great class.
