Dr. Seuss Week

Thank You!!!
Thank you for all the wonderful notes and pictures this week! I feel very fortunate to have such a great class with such supportive parents.

Dr. Seuss Week

This week we celebrated Dr. Seuss. We read several Dr. Seuss books and made different crafts to go with the stories. Monday we read  The Cat in the Hat and made Cat in the Hat hats. On Tuesday we read I Can Read With My Eyes Shut and practiced reading our color words.  Wednesday, we read Fox in Socks and made fun pattern socks.  Thursday we watched The Sneetches and put stars on our yellow shirts. We used the lesson of the story to discuss how we can be kind to each other. Thank you for helping your child dress up for the daily themes. They all looked great!

In computer lab this week we learned about the program paint. The students made space pictures using different shapes and tools on the paint program. Check them out in the video below.

Next week the Two Springs Student Council is raising money for the Pennies for Patients. All the money raised will go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. If you would like to donate please send in the donations between March 11th through March 28th.

Conferences
In the B.E.E. folders you will find your conference time and date. Please sign and return the bottom portion of the invitation.  If you have a conflict with your time please let me know ASAP.  The book fair will be open during conferences so please schedule extra time to check it out.

Spring is in the Air
The weather is warming up! But it is still very chilly in the mornings. We do have morning recess, so please continue to send proper clothing for your child. Our school rule is kids need to have coats on if the temperature is below 60 degrees.

Mark your Calendar!
We have set the date for our Kindergarten Celebration of Learning.  This will be in our classroom on Thursday,  May 16th at 2:00 p.m.  We will be celebrating with songs and a video from the past year followed by snacks.
